WATER AND LIQUIDS PART1

My first course was science, which was called DIY - Science (DIY stands for do it yourself). My first class in science was water and liquids.After the class they will tell us to make a video and one experiment about the topic . 

I learned about density, mass and volume in the class.

This video is about clay boat .

So when we normally put a clay in water it would sink ,but the activity i done was like if i turn the clay into a  boat, it would make the clay float. Do you know how is this done ? Let us find it out.

This is because of buoyancy effect, which means, when a fluid uses its  force to push the object up is known as buoyancy effect .If the object has high density the buoyancy force will try to push the clay up but because of its high density it will not float .When it is in low density buoyancy effect will make the clay  float. You may even ask if we use the same clay, to make a boat and left it in water will it float?. Yes ,Do you know why? the answer is when we increase the volume of the boat , density will become less, so the buoyancy effect will take place and make the clay boat floats in the water.
