WATER AND LIQUIDS PART 2

I have learnt about surface tension today. So here is the video i made regarding surface tension:

                                In this video we have learnt about surface tension .Surface tension means when the water molecules hold tight together to form a layer above  the water is known as surface tension . 

 

                              So when i put the paper clip in the water it broke the water molecules or the surface tension of water and sink in to the water . What i have done here is i have  put a tissue paper into the water it broke the surface tension but after some time the water molecules form a layer again.

 

                             We all know that tissue paper will float , Now i put the paper clip on top of the tissue paper.So that it does not break the surface tension of the water.After some time I hold a sharp object at the edge of the paper and slowly took the  tissue paper out .

 

 

                             So that the surface tension will not break near the paper clip and hence not making it sink  . Have you ever wondered how mosquitos stand on water?  Its because they does not break the surface tension of water hence making them float.
